Annual TB Conference: The Union - NAR

Due to the current situation of the Omicron variant in British Columbia and elsewhere and with new restrictions in place the organizing committee has decided to hold the 26th Annual Conference of the Union Meeting virtually.

The Union-North America Region (NAR) is the regional arm of the International Union against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union), a global public health organization with the vision to provide health solutions to the poor.  BC Lung is an organizational member of The Union and acts as the Secretariat, organizing and hosting The Union-NAR's  annual conference in consultation with the Executive Committee.

CONFERENCE PROGRAM

This year’s program will cover critical topics in TB prevention and care, including how TB programs can get back on a faster track after COVID-19, meeting the needs of TB patients beyond TB, TB and Indigenous Peoples, up-to-date science and clinical aspects of TB transmission and the immune response, and implementing shorter regimens for active TB.
