Daycares are a particularly important place to know radon levels. Children's fast breathing and little lungs make them even more susceptible to radon exposure. We are working to help daycares test their radon levels and take steps to reduce radon.
Interior Health has made radon testing mandatory for daycares in its health region. We're currently completing a pilot daycare testing program with Health Canada in select areas of the Lower Mainland.
