Sharon Korol

Board Member

Sharon joined the BC Lung family 15 years ago as a Board Member for the community of Campbell River and has now served 4 years on the Executive Board. At the time, lung disease was near and dear to her as her cousin was suffering with Cystic Fibrosis. He later passed away at the age of 51. Since then, she has embraced the cause and has led a successful Better Breathers group in the area.

Sharon is currently a Sales Representative for Arterra Wines Canada - 3 years and during her first year of employment earned a trip to the Ruffino Estate Wineries in the Tuscany area of Italy. She also continues to be a contract Instructor at North Island College and for the past 15 years has taught employability skills in Trades. Prior to teaching, she was a Specialized Markets Sales Executive for 10 years with Quinsam Coal/Hillsborough Resources. She also spent 7 years working for the City of Campbell River in Economic Development. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing, and Certificates in Public Relations and Economic Development as well as her Provincial Instructor Diploma.

Sharon brings her enthusiasm, knowledge and work ethic to the Board and looks forward to sharing her insights to support fundraising and health promotion initiatives. Sharon is an avid tennis player and loves fishing and cycling.
