Newsletter: Hope Amidst Lung Cancer

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death worldwide. In Canada, it is the most commonly diagnosed cancer (excluding non-melanoma skin cancers) and also the leading cause of cancer death for both men and women. Approximately 31,000 Canadians will be diagnosed with lung cancer and 20,600 will pass away due to lung cancer this year. Meaning that one quarter of all Canadian cancer deaths are from lung cancer.

By working together, healthcare professionals, policymakers, community leaders and patient advocates can reduce the incidence of lung cancer and improve public health. In partnership with BC Cancer and other health authorities, BC Lung has published a newsletter called HOPE: Amidst Lung Cancer. Learn about the latest in lung cancer treatments, research and patient support. Read the HOPE Newsletter.
