We have a winner!

Back in April, the BC Lung Foundation launched a Smoke-Free Generation Student Video Contest to encourage youth to avoid smoking and vaping products and inspire their peers to do the same. We got 15 amazing videos from students Grades 8 to 12, from all over the lower mainland.

Congratulations to Hridik Subedi (pictured with teacher, Ms Mckay), a grade 12 student from L.A. Matheson Secondary, for winning the Smoke-Free Generation Student Video Contest and $1000 scholarship!

Their powerful video delivered a bold, creative message about the dangers of smoking and the power of choosing a healthier future.

Also, a shout out to Justin Zhang, Grade 9, Point Grey Secondary for his 2nd place finish. Check out their incredible videoing and editing. Justin won a $250 scholarship.

Huge thanks to all the talented students who participated—you inspired us with your passion and storytelling.
